Director of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Jammu, India
Prof Manoj Singh Gaur has been serving as the founding director of the Indian Institute of Technology Jammu since June 2017 and is also a Professor at the Department of Computer Science & Engineering; he is now in his second term.
Before joining IIT Jammu, he was a Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) Jaipur, India. Prof Gaur has also been Dean of Students Affairs and Head of the Central Computer Centre at MNIT Jaipur. He also served as Professor-in-Charge (Coordinator) of IIIT Kota.
In his teaching and research career of almost three decades, he has been an investigator of several funded research projects in Information Security and Networks on Chip. He has been part of the core group of Project ISEA (Information Security Education and Awareness), a major multi-institutional project in the domain of Information Security in India. His current research areas include Computer and Network Security (Network Attack Models and Countermeasures), Mobile Platform Security, and Data Privacy. He has published more than two hundred papers in reputed journals and conferences, and has supervised twenty-three PhDs to date; currently, he has two research scholars working in his research group. Prof Gaur is a leading exponent of using technology and automation to enable service delivery at higher education institutes, whether in infrastructure, teaching and learning, or e-governance. Under the leadership of the founding director, IIT Jammu is achieving new milestones in line with its vision and values to create leaders for a better tomorrow.

Dr.Dr. Ketan Kotecha is a highly acclaimed researcher and educator in artificial intelligence, computer algorithms, and machine learning, with a passion for cultivating higher-order thinking skills and critical thinking. He has mentored over 20 PhD students to success, and his editorial board appointments with IEEE Access, PeerJ Computer Science journal, Cogent Journal by Taylor & Francis, and Frontiers Journals reflect his standing as a thought leader in the field. He has over 30 years of experience at the forefront of the field in AI and deep learning. He has recently achieved global recognition as one of the top 2% scientists worldwide, a distinction conferred by Stanford University. Dr Kotecha has published over 300 Scopus-indexed papers, and his work has been cited over 6,000 times. He also has an impressive i-10 index of 118.
He has also published 10 patents. He has secured prestigious research funding for Applied AI projects, including a PURSE grant from DST under the Promotion of University Research and Scientific Excellence scheme worth INR 5.2 cores and a grant from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, worth INR 199.04 lakhs, very recently received the Indo-Canada Shastri grant SSTSG 2023-24, in collaboration with the University of Winnipeg, for his project on Multimodal Co-learning tolerance soft computing for Real-life Deep Learning Applications.

Dr. Himanshu Soni currently working as a Provost at the CVM University, Vallabh Vidynagar, Anand, Gujarat. He did his Bachelors from the BVM Engineering College in the year 1997 and joined Master’s program at BITS, Pilani in the year 2001. Dr Soni completed Master’s degree with CGPA of 9.90 by securing first rank among the all PG courses at BITS, Pilani. As a part of practice school at master’s program, he completed his project at MOTOROLA, Bangalore in the year 2003. He Joined Ph.D at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB) in the year 2004 and completed his research in domain of multiuser Ultra wideband (UWB) communication in 2009. During his research he has published research papers in various IEEE conferences and journals. He has visited USA, Poland, Greece and Italy for presenting his research work and attending various training programs. He has been promoted to the Associate professor and the professor in year 2003 and 2009 respectively.
HIn the year 2011 he attended Indo-Japan global partnership summit at Tokyo -Japan. Dr Soni has served GCET as a Principal from June 2011 to Feb 2023. Under CVM University he has worked as a Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Technology for the period of July 2020 to March 2023. In March 2023 he has been appointed as founder Provost of the CVM University, Vallabh Vidynagar, Anand, Gujarat, India. During his tenure at GCET as a Principal, all the departments were accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). He has mobilized fund of more than 2.5 Cr in the form of various grants and research projects at the institute. In July 2021 GCET Received grant of 1.15 Cr from All India council of Technical Education (AICTE) for AICTE- Idea Lab. He is working as a chief mentor in this project. Dr. Himanshu Soni has published more than 60 research papers in various National and International Journals and conferences. An inspiring academician and mentor of Research he guided 6 Ph.D Doctorates and currently 3 Ph.D Research Scholars pursuing.
He was awarded with Hari Ohm Ashram Prerit “Research Endowment Prize for year 2009-10” given at Sardar Patel University’s convocation in Dec 2013. Dr. Soni is a member of various expert committees of different Universities, member of Board of studies in GTU and member to various Professional Organization. His current research interests include Wireless and Mobile Communication, Ultra wideband (UWB) communication, Multi user Communication etc.
